So here's a little about me: First off, I'm the wife of a wonderful man and the mother of a beautiful daughter. I went to school for cosmetology and did hair for many years, which I have fond memories of. I had an entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to take a leap of faith and start my own business. I cleaned houses with my mom when I was young, and I have the personality that I like to handle tasks correctly. I have been in the cleaning business almost my entire life, and my husband has been, too, with his parents owning a cleaning service, and he cleaned offices throughout high school. At one point, we were managing large buildings and doing quality control, and the company we were working for lost the contract, so they laid us off. At this point, I moved back to the Coast, and I was handing out my resume with no luck. My little girl was about 5 years old at this point. I was in a bad position, and I was beginning to lose hope. That's when I said I'd employ myself if no one hired me, so I started my janitorial service - Gulf South Janitorial. I made some business cards and started handing them out, and someone took a chance on me and allowed me to prove myself with her building. That was 10 years ago, and I'm still strong. I don't want to be just another cleaning company. I want to pay a livable wage, be active in the community, and give back. Well, that's my story, with a few details left out.
