Amy Sherrill is a registered architect and President of The Benefield Richters Company, an architecture and planning firm located in Downtown Knoxville. The firm specializes in design of office, retail, restaurant and industrial environments and serves businesses and communities throughout the eastern United States. Amy is passionate about designing environments that allow businesses and communities to grow and thrive. She loves getting to know her clients and their businesses and creating buildings and spaces that express their brand and aspirations, as well as improve efficiency and effectiveness of their operations. Amy’s favorite design projects involve the reuse and repurposing of existing buildings. She loves the challenge of working with old buildings, finding ways to celebrate the history while making useful and meaningful spaces for new business to serve the community. Amy is also an advocate for sustainable and energy efficient building practices. Sustainably designed buildings, sites and communities are healthier for the occupants, better for the environment and save money for owners in the long run. Amy is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
