Terri Kapetanovic has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare quality, utilization review and case management. Prior to starting PSN, she worked as a consultant for American Accreditation Healthcare Commission/URAC in Washington, DC, as one of the Commission's accreditation reviewers. Terri traveled throughout the U.S., evaluating companies according to national accreditation standards. Terri began her professional career as a Registered Nurse, working in hospitals and caring for adult medical surgical patients. She has held hospital administrative positions in clinical practice, staff development and quality / utilization review. Over the last 20 years, Terri has been involved in numerous professional organizations, serving in various leadership capacities, including chapters of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), Maryland and District of Columbia Healthcare Quality associations, and was appointed by the governor to serve on the Maryland Statewide Commission on the Crisis in Nursing. She has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Healthcare Quality, has been involved as a legal nurse consultant in utilization review matters and has been a contributing author in publications of the Health Insurance of America Association. She has volunteered time serving on the alumni board of the nursing chapter of The Catholic University of America and participated in the Education Roundtable, which brings education and business together in providing information for 9th graders in Montgomery County schools.
